The aim and specific objectives of the VCED are stated within and the primary intention is to provide the community with accurate and independent information about early defibrillation.

This site has been developed and designed to provide those accessing it with free information about early defibrillation as a community service by Monash University Centre for Ambulance and Paramedic Studies. The information provided in relation to shock advisory defibrillators and other electronic biomedical devices has been compiled from published material produced by manufacturers and/or distributors. At the time the information was placed on this site it was current. However, some of the information may change over time.  The VCED will attempt to keep information current; however, there may be periods of time where some information provided may be out of date.

Other information about early defibrillation and resuscitation is provided on this site and whenever possible/available, a reference to the source of the information is provided. The VCED takes not responsible for inaccuracies in information provided by others and if it is established that a piece of information provided is incorrect; then as soon as possible the VCED will rectify the inaccuracy.
